Cultural Parade - 12 April 2018

It was a fantastic day.
We had many families join us to share their cultures.

Our Room 17 children looked awesome in their cultural dress.

After the parade our parents shared some things from their culture - counting, how to say hello, origami, food and gifts.

Adams mum Jenny came and showed us how to make a 'Catapult Plane'.  All the parents helped us with the origami, folding, glueing, rubber bands and finally, flying through the air.

After flying our planes we shared some of the food from the different cultural groups that make up our class.
Golly those planes could fly really far. The children and I had competitions the next day to see whose plane flew the furtherest.

What a absolutely super day we had.
The food, activities, cultural dress, gifts and company were terrific.
Thank you to all our families for helping us to learn more about other cultures and traditions.
