Motor skills and visual perception

Cutting, Rubbing, Rolling, Matching.

We have been working on our small motor skills.  How we hold our pencil, and our scissors.

Before we cut out the shapes we used our 'crocodile' to add colour by rubbing with crayons.  We had to use both hands, one to hold the paper and one to rub with the crayon.
We use both hands when writing and cutting things.  One to hold the paper and one to hold our pencil or scissors.
We used our hands to roll and mould play dough into shapes.  This is good for the muscles that we use when handwriting and cutting.

We used blocks to build things.  We had to look at a picture and make it using small blocks.

We looked at pictures and matched them to make a pair.  The pictures were similar so we had to really concentrate.
