Dog Safety

Amanda and her dog came to visit us today. 
Amanda told us how to be safe around dogs.  

 


First we had to ask if we could pat her dog.

 

Then we stuck our fist out so that her dog could smell us        

Finally we were allowed to pat her dog under the neck - NEVER on the head.

We were also given a really interesting booklet to take home . . . 
I hope you all read it.

Measurement: Length

  

We are learning about length.  We chose a bear and then we talked about which bear we thought was the biggest, smallest, tallest, shortest or longest.

                          

  

 

                                
                            

 We put the bears in order from the small to big, or shortest to the tallest.

We also used a variety of materials to measure how tall our bear was.
